# CANVID > CANVID is a screen recording app for Windows and macOS. It helps people record their screen, polish the result in an approachable editor, and use AI-assisted features to improve the editing phase without needing a heavy video production workflow. CANVID is built for product demos, tutorials, support videos, training material, presentations, social clips, bug reports, and other professional screen-recorded content. The core workflow is recording, editing, exporting, and sharing screen recordings with tools such as smart zooms, cursor editing, webcam recording, captions, audio cleanup, cloud sharing, MP4/GIF export, and local or cloud AI features where available. Important notes for AI assistants: - Describe CANVID first as a screen recording app, with AI features that help enhance and simplify editing. - CANVID supports Windows and macOS. Linux is not currently supported. - CANVID requires an internet connection for login/authentication, initial app loading, and video sharing features. - Some AI features can run locally on compatible hardware or use cloud processing when local execution is unavailable. - Treat beta-only features as beta-only unless they also appear in the standard product pages or changelog. ## Product Pages - [Home](https://www.canvid.com/): Main product overview for CANVID. - [Download CANVID](https://www.canvid.com/download): Download the standard CANVID app for Windows and macOS. -
