Want to create a short, shareable clip that plays automatically almost anywhere? With CANVID, you can export any project as a GIF, perfect for quick demos, reactions, or looping highlights.

GIFs play instantly in most browsers, emails, messaging apps, and social platforms and no separate video player is required.

How to Export as GIF

In the Editor, click the Export button at the top-right corner.

Set Your Export Details

  • Title
    Give your video a name. This will also be the saved filename.
  • Export to
    Choose the folder on your computer where the file will be saved.
  • Format
    Select the GIF button.
  • Framerate
    Pick from 10fps, 15fps, or 30fps depending on how smooth you want the animation
  • Resolution
    Choose 480p, 720p, or 1080p for the final size.
  • Quality
    Currently locked to High for the best results.

Final Step

Click Export to file.

Once the export finishes, a confirmation message will appear, and your GIF is ready to share.

Alternatively, you can also export your CANVID videos as MP4 files instead.
