Removing/Replacing Your Camera Background in CANVID

CANVID’s Camera AI Background feature lets you personalize or clean up your webcam feed — no green screen required. Whether you’re recording a tutorial or a product demo, your background can match your style in just a few clicks.

How to Change Your Camera Background

1. Open a screen recording in the CANVID Editor

2. Go to the Camera sidebar menu

3.Toggle the Camera AI Background option to turn it on

Once enabled, you can choose from three background modes:

1. Original – Keep your real background visible.

While using Original, you can:

• Move your camera to any side of the screen
  

• Adjust the roundness, offset, and size of your camera frame
  

• Apply a background blur for a subtle soft-focus effect
  
  

2. Replace – Swap your background with a custom image.

While using Replace, you can:

• Upload your own image or choose from presets
  

• Reposition the camera freely on screen
  

• Customize the roundness, offset, size, and blur amount
  
  

3. Remove – Remove your background entirely, leaving only you.

While using Remove, you can:

• Adjust your on-screen position from left to right using the Camera Position Slider
