Customize your CANVID screen recording background with wallpapers, gradients, solid colors, or your own images. Add blur, padding, rounded corners, and shadows for a polished, professional look.

Give your screen recordings a polished, professional look by customizing the background directly in the CANVID Editor. Whether you want a subtle gradient, a solid color, or a custom image, CANVID makes it easy to create the perfect backdrop.

How to Customize Your Background

Open the Background Sidebar by clicking the Background icon in the Editor.

Here you can choose from a variety of background styles:

  • Wallpaper
    Pick from CANVID's curated collection of ready-to-use backgrounds, including some familiar Windows and Mac wallpapers.
  • Image
    Upload your own image as a custom background
    • Supported formats: .png, .heic, .jpg, .jpeg, .jfif, .pjpeg, .pjp
    • File size must be under 10 MB.
  • Gradient
    Select a preset gradient or create yoru own cusotm color combination
  • Color
    Use a solid color for a clean, minimalist look

Extra Settings & Background Shape

Fine-tune your background with additional controls:

Adjusting the Blur, Padding, Rounded Corners, and Shadows in the Editor's Background Sidebar
  • Blur (Wallpaper & Image only)
    Apply a soft blur to your chosen background
  • Padding
    Adjust the space between your screen recording and the background. Set to 0% if you prefer no background at all.
  • Rounded Corners
    Increase the value to make the edges of your video more rounded.
  • Shadows
    Add or adjust drop shadow for extra depth.

Save Your Presets (Optional)

Once you've customized your background, you can save it as a Preset for quick access in future projects.
