Learn how to trim and cut parts of your video in CANVID using split, drag trimming, and Compress Cut to remove unwanted sections from your recordings.

Recordings in CANVID can be trimmed or cut to remove sections you don't want in the final video. This guide will walk you through the different ways to do it inside the editor.
First, open a recording in the CANVID editor.
You can do this in two ways:
Once you are inside the editor, you will see a green bar in the timeline. This bar represents your entire video. All trimming and cutting actions happen in this area.
You can split your video into smaller segments and remove the parts you don't want.
Steps:

Removed sections will appear highlighted in light green in the timeline.
You can also trim clips by dragging their edges.
Steps:

This lets you quickly shorten clips without splitting them.
Use Compress Cut if you want to permanently remove the trimmed sections from the timeline.
Important: This action cannot be undone. Always save a backup of your project first.
Steps:

Once completed, the removed sections will be permanently deleted from the timeline.
