Export as MP4

Learn how to export and save your CANVID screen recordings as MP4 videos directly to your computer with customizable resolution, framerate, and quality settings

You can export any project in CANVID as an MP4 video. This is great for uploading your screen recordings to social platforms, sharing with clients, or archiving your work.

How to Export

Go to the editor

Finish a new recording, or open an existing project.

Click Export

Click the Export button located at the top-right corner of the editor.

In this window you can configure the following export settings:

Title: Set the filename for your exported MP4
Export to: Choose where your file will be saved
Format: Select MP4 (here you can also select GIF)
Framerate: Choose between 30 FPS and 60 FPS
Resolution: You can choose 720p,1080p,1440p, 4K

Exporting above your recording resolution may increase file size without improving quality

Quality: Select the compression level for your video
(Optional) Create a Share Link: Enable this option to upload your export to the Cloud Gallery and generate a shareable link online

Save your video

Once all your settings are ready, click Export to file. You'll see a confirmation message when the export is complete.

If Create a Share Link is enabled, a shareable link will be generated for you to copy and share.

You can also select Manage Video to view and edit the uploaded video via the Cloud Gallery.
