Sharing Project Presets
CANVID lets you save your Editor settings as presets so you can reuse them in future screen recording projects and keep every tutorial, product demo, bug report and screen recording consistent on both Windows and Mac.
Presets help keep your style consistent and speed up your workflow, whether you're working alone or with a team. Here's how you can share great-looking presets to others:
Check your presets
Before sharing, make sure your presets are ready. Click the Presets button in the Editor and go through your list.
Find your presets
Click the options next to any preset, then select Show in File Explorer (Windows) or Show in Finder (Mac).
Share the preset files
Copy the .canvidpreset files however you like:
- Upload them to cloud storage
- Email them
- Or put them on a SUB drive, whatever works for you.
Import your presets
Once you have the .canvidpreset files ready/transferred, just place them in the Presets folder of the other computer.
On Windows
Open file Explorer and paste this into the address:
%USERPROFILE%\Videos\Canvid\Presets
Paste your .canvidpreset files there.
On Mac
Open Finder and search for CANVID folder. inside it, you'll find the Presets folder where you can paste your .canvidpreset files.
Your shared presets should now appear in the list in the Editor and ready to use.
