Video Background Editor

Give your screen recordings a polished, professional look by customizing the background directly in the Editor. Whether you want a subtle gradient, a solid color, or a custom image, CANVID makes it easy to create the perfect backdrop.

How to Change Your Background

Open the Background Sidebar by clicking the  Background icon in the Editor.

Here you can choose from a variety of background styles:

• Wallpaper: Pick from a curated collection of ready-to-use backgrounds, including some familiar Windows and Mac wallpapers.
• Image: Upload your own image as a custom background

• Gradient: Select a preset gradient or create yoru own cusotm color combination
• Color: Use a solid color for a clean, minimalist look

Background Shape Sliders

Here you can fine-tune your background with additional controls:

• Blur: (Wallpaper & Image only) Apply a soft blur to your chosen background
• Padding: Controls the space between your screen recording and the background. Set it to 0% to remove the background entirely.
• Rounded Corners: Increase the value to make the edges of your video appear more rounded.
• Shadows: Add or adjust drop shadow for extra depth.

Background Presets (Optional)

Once you've customized your background, you can save it as a Preset for quick access in future projects.
