Saving a Project
To avoid losing progress, you can save your CANVID project at any time while working in the Editor. This keeps all your screen recording edits, camera settings, and timeline changes intact.
How to Save
Once you're in the Editor after recording
Go to the editor
Finish a new recording, or open an existing project.
Click the menu and
Go to the menu at the top-left corner, then select Save Project or Save Project As.
Confirm location then save
Choose the save location from your computer, rename the file if needed, then click Save.
Your project file will include everything you've done in the editor, so when you open your project, you can pick up right where you left off.
Why Save?
- Preserves all changes made in the Editor
- Lets you come back and continue editing later
- Enables you to export or Quick Share when you're ready
Sharing your Project Files
Once saved, your .canvid project file can be transferred to any computer with the app installed, so you can continue editing across devices.
This is especially useful for collaborative work, allowing others to edit your CANVID projects and letting you edit theirs as well.
