Opening an Existing Project
Learn how to open CANVID project files easily.
Need to get back to a project you were working on? CANVID makes it easy to open saved project files and pick up right where you left off.
Open from the App
Start the app
Run the app from your computer
Go to the menu
Click the menu at the top-left corner
Find the project file
Click Open Project, then select the .canvid project file from your computer.
Alternatively, you can quickly re-open recent projects by selecting Open Recent > Your project file name.
Open from the Project File
Simply double-click a saved .canvid project file from your computer.
Opening another project while you're in the Editor will replace your current session. Make sure to save your work first before proceeding
What Happens Next?
Opening a project file instantly takes you into the Editor, where you can:
- Continue editing your video
- Make changes to visuals, audio, or camera
- Export or Quick Share your final recording
Saved project files can be shared and opened on other computers, making it easy to continue your work across multiple devices or collaborate with teammates.
