Missing Zooms and Clicks in Recording

Missing automatic zooms and clicks in CANVID screen recordings? Discover why this issue occurs and how to resolve it

When using CANVID, you may encounter a situation where zooms and clicks are not automatically added to your screen recordings. This can happen if the window you’re trying to capture is running with elevated privileges while the app is not.

How to Fix

Close the app

Make sure the app is not currently running. If it is, close the application completely.

Make sure the app is fully closed and not simply minimized to the system tray.

Run as administrator

Run the app as Administrator

  • Right-click the app icon on your desktop.
  • Choose Properties.
  • Go to the Compatibility tab.
  • Check the option Run this program as an administrator.
  • Click Apply, then OK to exit the window.

Restart the app

Try launching the app again by double-clicking the same desktop icon where you applied the changes.
