By default, your camera automatically shrinks when you zoom into your screen recording. CANVID allows you to customize this behavior so your camera appears exactly how you want during zoom moments.
This guide will show you how to change your camera’s behavior during zoom.
How to Change Camera Behavior During Zoom
Record a new video with your webcam, or open an existing project that includes a camera recording.
In the Editor, open the Camera sidebar menu.
Locate the Camera during zoom setting.
Select your preferred camera behavior from the available options.
The Camera during zoom feature situated at the Camera Sidebar menu in the Editor
Camera During Zoom Options
Choose the option that best fits your recording style:
Do nothing
"Do nothing" camera zoom option
The camera will remain the same size during zoom.
Best if you want your camera to stay constant and visible at all times.
Reduce Size (Default)
"Reduce size" camera zoom option
The camera will shrink when you zoom in.
Helps keep the camera visible without blocking important screen details.
Hide
"Hide" camera zoom option
The camera will fade out during zoom.
Ideal when you want viewers to focus entirely on the zoomed content.
Changing this setting helps you create cleaner, more professional recordings that keep the focus exactly where you want it.
