Screenshot Tool

The Screenshot Tool lets you capture your entire screen or a specific area, then edit the screenshot before saving it. It's useful for creating support documentation, tutorials, bug reports, or simply grabbing something from your screen without recording a video

How to Take a Screenshot

Run CANVID, then click Take a Screenshot from the capture screen.

Click and drag to select the area you want to capture.

You can also use a dedicated hotkey instead if you have one assigned for the Screenshot Tool

Editing Your Screenshot

Background Tools

Make your screenshots look even better with customizable backgrounds, rounded corners, padding, and shadows.

Annotation tools

The Screenshot Editor gives you several tools for marking up and improving your screenshot like arrows, lines, shapes, and text.

Privacy Filters

Use the Privacy Filter to hide sensitive information before sharing your screenshot.

You have three privacy styles to choose from:

Black - Covers the selected area with a solid black block
Blur - Blurs the selected area
Pixelate - Pixelates the selected area

The option to add privacy filters to your screen recordings is also available.

Saving Your Screenshot

The top navigation bar provides options to download your screenshot locally, copy the link to your clipboard, or generate a shareable link.
